Updates.....Finally!

For all of you who don't have Facebook, I have finally updated our blog, starting with Noah getting his tonsils removed. After having strep throat again (the 6th time in a year), the doctor recommended he get his tonsils removed. He had the surgery last week, July 10th. He is now doing much better and can resume his normal activities in a week. Robby's mom was here visiting and helped me out a lot. Here is Noah right after we got back from the hospital.

Nana's Visit

Last weekend, Robby's mom came to visit for a few days. The kids had a great time with her and we got to celebrate her birthday!

We went to Kemah a few weeks ago and visited the stingray exhibit. The kids had an awesome time. We also had our friends' daughter, Tuscany, with us.

Father's Day

For Father's Day, we made Robby breakfast, went to church and then had our first softball game. It was a great day just spending time with the best dad in the world!

Kid's Birthdays

This is a little delayed, but here are some pictures of the kids birthdays. Sophie turned 4 on April 7th and Noah turned 7 on April 10th. We had a lot of friends join us at the park for a fun, windy birthday party. At least it didn't rain!

Flooding and a New Car!

Well, a couple weeks ago, we had a major rain storm that flooded our neighborhood streets. We were coming home from the movies, and when we tried to drive onto our street, the van stalled. Yes, we know it was a bad decision, but too late! Robby and the neighbors pushed the car into someone's driveway, while the kids and I swam home. Not really, but there was a good foot of water.
So, after everything dried out, the car still wouldn't start, or even turnover. Long story short, we were able to get an awesome deal on a new van through our neighbor's boss. It is a 2004 Dodge Grande Caravan with very few miles, great condition, and a DVD player...a huge plus for the kids!
Meanwhile, Robby was able to take the engine apart on the van, flush out the water and replace the spark plugs, and put everything back together. And, it works! He is amazing. So, now we can sell it instead of hauling it off to the junk yard. Either way, getting this new van is a huge blessing! We are enjoying it!

10K Race

On March 14, Robby and I ran our first 10K race in downtown Houston. It was a huge race with over 3,000 people running! Some dressed up in costumes. We had a lot of fun even though it was freezing cold!

The Zoo

On Monday, we went to the zoo with my mom. It was perfect weather and the kids had a great time!



These lemurs were so cute. The dad kept trying to take the baby away from the mom, and whenever he did, she would hit him. It was really funny to watch. I guess even lemurs have some family drama!

I may hate house cats (sorry Lea and Dottie!), but I love big cats...leopards, tigers, lions. Black panthers are my favorite, but he was hiding, so I couldn't get a picture.
